Chapter 32
They arrived at the clinic, which was close to the university. They were immediately assisted by the nurse. Gaby’s injuries were cleaned up, but the anguish was too much for her to bear. Clark put one hand out and remained silent until the seam was completed.
“Ma’am, here’s the antibiotic, so the wound won’t get infected.” said the nurse.
Gaby smiled. “Thank you!”
“Ma’am, you two look good together,” the nurse said all of a sudden.
Gaby just smiled a little, but Clark was the fullness of the smile. Gaby didn’t even notice it.
“Let’s go!” said Gaby.
When they came to the door of the car, Gaby was even more surprised when Clark let go of her hand. It was only then that she remembered they had been holding hands since they arrived. That’s why the nurse was so pleased with both of them.
Gaby got into the car and Clark turned his back and entered the passenger seat. The car’s engine immediately turned on and started moving away from the clinic.
“Thanks, Clark, my finger feels okay now,” said Gaby.
“You’re scared me so your thank you’s are not enough. I want more than that,” said Clark.
“What?” Gaby was suddenly nervous as she looked at Clark.
‘What is this one saying?’ Gaby thought.
Clark abruptly came to a halt in his car, and Gaby was taken aback and even more scared as Clark turned to face her. Gaby slammed her eyes shut tight as she sensed Clark coming in on her.
‘Annoying! How come this man loses my status as an amazon?’ Gaby thought.
Clark couldn’t stop laughing about how Gaby looked. He just looked at her because he had something to say when she suddenly closed her eyes firmly.
“Why did you do this?” said Clark, laughing.
Gaby opened her eyes and frowned. She blushed as well and knew that Clark had noticed her.
“I thought you might kiss me,” Gaby said.
Clark laughed his whole heart out. That was not a mocking laugh, for Gaby, that laugh was cherishing.
“You always steal a kiss from me and get used to that,” said Gaby.
“But never this time,” said Clark.
Gaby frowned upon Clark. “I won’t steal a kiss from you, instead I’ll ask you out, just the two of us,” Clark said seriously.
Gaby didn’t burst right away like her heart was racing through her chest. Clark was very serious when he asked her out.
“You want us to go on a date?” Gaby asked.
“If that’s the right word for it, then it’s a date,” said Clark.
Gaby seems a little confused. Why would she invite Clark on a date? It’s not misleading. It’s like he only knows how to steal a kiss.
“Don’t wonder why I’m doing this. All I want to hear is your yes!” Clark said, smiling.
“All right,” said Gaby.
“What is all right?” Clark asked innocently.
“I’ll go out with you.” Gaby just said.
Clark’s smile is getting broader. “You’ve been a good friend to me, so dating you isn’t a big deal,” said Gaby.
Clark didn’t talk anymore, but there was an air of joy on his face. Gaby has a secret smile. Clark restarted the vehicle and began the journey.

Gaby was even taken aback when she returned to her apartment room, where her miniature was being created. She sat on the bed, smiling, and gazed at her project on the table. She also took notice of the memo written on it.
I made your project, so you don’t have to think about anything else. Just rest and sleep well – Dylan.
Gaby, stretch out on the bed. She was staring down at the ceiling. The tickled feeling she had felt earlier had not departed. She smiles and clings to her chest in front of her heart.

The following day, at lunchtime, in the cafeteria the entire group was there except Clark. Riki already ordered food to keep Clark’s head warm when he arrives at the cafeteria.
“I’m so sorry, Gaby,” said Sasha.
Sasha said what they were doing out there. She even made fun of Sasha’s story.
“Nothing to worry about, Sasha,” said Gaby.
“Ah, Gaby!“ said Sasha.
Sasha stood up and came up to her for a cuddle. She laughed even harder at Sasha’s gesture.
It distracted them when they heard the screams again from outside the cafe.
“Clark shows up...” says Matt.
And Matt got it right. They’d already heard the name Clark shouted at the students. When Clark entered the cafeteria, the students glanced out the window of the cafeteria.
“You’re handsome Clark!”
When Clark entered the cafeteria, his eyes immediately looked for Gaby, so he smiled. It was just half a smile, but Clark fans think it’s a great miracle. Every girl took a picture of Clark. Until he reaches their table.
“Why are you looking at me that way?” asked Clark.
Dylan caught Clark’s forehead and neck. “It’s normal,” said Dylan.
“Tss, shut up, Dylan!” said Clark, shaking Dylan’s hand.
Everyone laughed. “You have a unique aura now!” says Matt.
“Yeah! You look so happy! What’s going on?” said Sasha.
“Why would I tell you?” said Clark.
“You look so different, Clark! Is it wrong to ask?" Sasha said.
Clark laughed. He merely looked at Gaby, who was busy looking at Belle’s phone.
‘This woman is so naïve, she didn’t even pay attention to my good mood.’ Clark thought.
“Foundation day is near, next week,” said Belle.
“Oh yes! Our fans are thrilled again!” said Matt.
“You are also happy. You take advantage of it!” said Sasha.
Matt was amused by what Sasha said. “Do we have a class on foundation day?” Gaby asked.
“No, Gab! All week on foundation day is for fun. There are many activities that you can look at and make.” said Dylan.
“I hope there is still a kissing booth and a wedding booth!” Riki said.
“Alas, this is the one thing that excites you on foundation day, because many of you will be victims,” said Ashlee.
“You are a victim here, Ashlee. We’re the casualties. We were tired last year,” said Riki.
“How can you not wear yourself out? I think almost half of the students here, you got married in the wedding booth beside the ones you kissed in the kissing booth,” said Belle.
“Is there something like that here?” Gaby asked.
The group frowned at her. “Have you never been to Foundation Day? Even in Canada?” Sasha asked.
Gaby nodded. “At the school, I was going to go to at the time. We had that in high school. I was supposed to attend when I got into acc….” Gaby couldn’t continue what she was going to say.
“Oh my gosh, Gaby! You miss the fun of high school. But maybe you’re going to prom?” Belle asked.
Gaby shook her head. “I couldn’t get there either.”
“Why?” Ashlee wondered.
Gaby did not answer, there were no further questions from the group.
“All right, Gab, let’s make sure you enjoy our founding day,” said Dylan.
“Yes! We’ll take care of you!” said Sasha
Gaby smiled.

In the afternoon, because their teacher didn’t get into the latter subject, Gaby got out early. She was leaving the building with a stopped red sports car.
Because the window of the car was tinted, it could not see who was inside. A moment later, its window came down.
“C-Clark!” Gaby says.
“Get in!” said Clark.
“Huh? Why? Where are we going?” said Gaby.
“We’re going out!” said Clark.
“Is it now? Instantly?” asked Gaby.
Clark smiled. “Yes!”
Gaby breathed deep and opened the car door. Clark immediately lifted his window.Download Novelah App
