Mia let out a long sigh before putting her phone into her pocket. She slowly got out of bed and quickly left the bedroom. 
Mia walked to another room next to the bedroom, Brian's study. She still remembered when they first got married; they made an agreement. Brian had told her not to enter his study, yet now he was giving her the opportunity to visit. 
Without thinking much, Mia placed her hand on the doorknob and gently turned it open. The steady "click... click..." sounds echoed in succession. The room was simply furnished, not as luxurious or grand as Mia had imagined.
There was a large desk at the end of the room, with big shelves on both sides to store documents. In the corner stood a small potted plant, the only one in the room. On the desk, there was a gray laptop, several stacks of documents, and a small vase of flowers.
Mia was slightly stunned, captivated by the simplicity of the room. The space felt a bit empty, but it gave a sense of calmness and serenity, perfect for working. 
Startled for a moment, Mia quickly remembered her original intention. She had to get the red-covered document on the desk and bring it to Brian at the company. 
Walking softly to the desk, Mia scanned the documents and quickly found the red-covered one she needed. There was no mistaking it; it was the only red document on the desk.
Mia picked up the document and held it close to her chest. Having completed her task, she didn’t stay in the room for long. After all, this was someone else's private space, and she couldn't intrude any further.
Mia swiftly turned around, her face showing no particular emotion, remaining as calm as ever. The same "click... click..." sounds echoed as she exited Brian's study, successfully retrieving the red document he had requested. All that remained was to deliver it to the company.
Letting out a deep breath, Mia walked a few steps before she encountered Diana, who was staring at her. What now? Mia frowned slightly. She never felt at peace whenever she encountered Diana.
Mia didn’t know how long Diana had been standing there, only that when she noticed her, Diana was already watching her with a suspicious look. 
Knowing that trouble was inevitable, Mia couldn’t prevent it. After all, what was bound to happen would happen; there was no stopping it.
Diana leaned against the wall, her eyes cold and suspicious as she looked at Mia, a meaningful smile playing on her lips.
"What were you doing in Brian's room? Were you stealing something?"
Mia swallowed dryly, her voice steady and calm.
"I was helping him get something."
Diana frowned, her lips moving slightly.
"Get something? What? If he needed something, why didn't he call me... You're lying."
Mia’s gaze lowered, her eyes cold and clear.
"Believe what you want. I don't have time to explain."
With that, Mia continued walking, her steps interrupted. Diana clenched her fists, her face showing dissatisfaction.
"Stop. Where do you think you're going?"
Without rushing, Mia replied.
"To bring these documents to the company."
Diana gritted her teeth, watching Mia walk past her. She quickly grabbed Mia's arm and pulled her back.
Startled by the sudden contact, Mia's already displeased expression became even more tense. Her voice turned cold.
"What do you want?"
As Mia turned around, Diana snatched the document from her hands. The document that Brian urgently needed was now in Diana’s possession. Perhaps she felt some resentment, perhaps jealousy. Swallowing hard, Diana smirked and replied.
"No need. I'll take it to him."
Mia was silent for a moment, her clear eyes looking at Diana. It seemed that if she stared any longer, even Diana would feel her composure crumble under the cold gaze.
Mia smiled faintly, replying softly.
"Fine. It’s better if you deliver it."
Without waiting for Diana to say more, Mia quickly turned and headed back to her room. She wasn’t exactly angry, just mildly irritated.
Mia simply wanted to live peacefully, as she had before. But she truly didn’t realize that after marriage, her life would completely change, deviating entirely from its usual course.
She sighed, her breath heavy. Looking at Min sleeping soundly on the bed, Mia’s heart eased a bit.
As for Diana, after snatching the document from Mia, she felt even more frustrated. 
She deeply loathed Mia's ever-calm demeanor, which made her feel belittled.
Diana felt her mind in turmoil. Why did Brian ask Mia to get something instead of her? If it had been before, he would have called her first. Diana vaguely sensed that her relationship with Brian was gradually drifting off course. This made her feel envious.
She knew that something invisible was slowly forming between the two of them.
Diana clenched her teeth, her gaze becoming more profound and inscrutable.
She sighed and took a deep breath before leaving the house to bring the document to Brian.

At R.D. Corporation, in Brian's office.
He was growing a bit anxious, wondering why Mia was taking so long. Was she doing it on purpose, or had something gone wrong? He was genuinely worried about her. Finn had managed to delay the meeting by a few minutes, but if Mia didn’t arrive soon, he wouldn’t make it in time.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. A man’s deep, formal voice came from outside. It was Finn.
"Boss, Miss Edward wants to see you."
Brian frowned, feeling a bit surprised. Why was Diana at his company? What could she want? And why hadn’t Mia arrived? Brian pressed his lips together, speaking with a hint of irritation.
"What does she want?"
"Miss Edward says she brought the documents for you."
Brian was taken aback, though quickly recovered.
"Let her in."
"Yes, sir."
The voice outside fell silent. It was strange. He had called Mia, and she was the one he asked to bring the documents. So why was Diana here, and why was she involved with his documents? 
Brian knew... Mia wasn’t coming anymore.
