Chapter 82: Grasp it, let it go

For a long time when Clara left, those who remained there were uncomfortably silent. Still amazed at Clara's strange behavior. A girl who was cornered remained eerily calm.
Suddenly Arlo spoke up because he had a question.
"What did that girl say just now?"
He looked at Roly because he knew well that Roly had studied dialects. In response, he just looked at Arlo and left the room without saying a word to anyone. He hurried to the rooftop to find her, Roly knew she would be there whenever he wanted to be alone.
Arlo let out a sigh of disappointment.
"It's all going to be over. It's just as you want it to be."
Neil's voice raised everyone's attention, while Zane looked at him suspiciously, Sarah was a little alarmed, and Arlo shot a look of admiration.
"Do you know the dialect?" Arlo asked confusedly.
"A little bit."
After answering Arlo, he looked at him - who was staring at him. No one said a word anymore.
Zane frowned then turned to look at her, he walked over to help Sarah to his room. Leaving Arlo still confused, looking at Neil bewildered, hoping for an explanation.
When Sarah had sat down in the chair, she refused to let go of his hand. Zane poured a cup of hot coffee between her hands, hoping the warmth would cheer her up.
"Tell me what happened?"
Suddenly he spoke, now she was alone with him, Zane wanted to know.
Sarah tried not to let herself move on the sofa in the room, though Zane's voice made her eyes widen.
"Zane! I don't want to talk about that anymore, maybe Clara is alone and scared."
Sarah deftly drummed up her story. Are you still thinking about her now? Is it really interesting or wants him to stop the doubtful thought in his head?
Even though he didn't get an answer, Zane comfortably sat down next to him, perfectly calm as he had just shown.
"All right. If there's anything, tell me, if she dares to bully you at home."
Sarah nodded shyly, thinking she could rest easy, but really didn't know what was going through Zane's mind. A mess that took his time to sort out. He absolutely did not reveal it, and did not want her to worry.
"Clara."
The door was flung open, and he saw her sitting there, on the bench, gazing into the distance. Clara didn't look back and wasn't surprised when you came up here to look for me.
"Are you okay? How's the wound?"
Roly rushed over to ask questions, then grabbed Clara's hand to see how the wound was. My white neck was still imprinted with the marks of his five rough fingers, which in the cold weather made the marks visible, they were purple. The cut on the finger is not over yet, although the bleeding has stopped, it has turned pale.
Clara did not withdraw her hand, just let him stare at the wound with pity, then suddenly he blew a warm breath into it.
"It's just a cut, the blood has stopped running, and at some point, it will heal."
Clara smiled to let him understand.
Roly loosened her hand at the smile as if nothing had happened, then Clara pulled her hand back, then patted the chair gently and told him to sit down.
Roly took a long stride, turned, and sat down next to her. He didn't know what to say, just afraid that saying it would make her unhappy. But no, he had to express his feelings clearly.
"I thought he would never hurt you." Roly lamented, eyes looking far ahead, like her, not sure if the two of them had the same end in common.
"How are the two of them?"
Roly turned when Clara had something to ask him.
"I don't know, but I believe Zane took Sarah with him a few minutes later," Roly replied leisurely, as if unaffected by her undisguised indifference.
"If I were you, I wouldn't expect my boyfriend to do that?" He added.
Clara was neither surprised nor disappointed – when she heard that Zane was with Sarah.
Clara wasn't surprised that Zane didn't leave Sarah alone.
"Roly, maybe you don't know, Zane is not my boyfriend." She was cold as she sketched out her answer, looking at Roly with a bitter smile. She was pleading with him: "And never mention that person in front of me again."
Roly looked at her admiringly: "Do you really think so?"
"Please." Her look grew, even more, pleading: "Haven't I made it clear that I will be final with everything?"
The handsome face darkened with anger: "Why do you keep pretending to be noble?"
"Noble or stupid?" She quickly asked him back.
Roly shook her head, a smile as bitter as Clara: "Clara! You're just overwhelmed! Everything will be back to normal once the dizziness is over."
Clara blinked the lashes of her deep black eyes: "It's not like that, Roly! I admit I was overwhelmed, but I'm not so shallow as to be foolish enough to dwell on this any further."
"What do you mean?" Roly asked suspiciously.
Clara stopped looking at him, and took out a white envelope from her backpack, with some words written in a foreign language. She turned it over to him.
"What is this?"
Roly took it with one hand and looked at her questioningly. A nod she wanted him to open.
Roly did as he asked, the envelope was carefully opened by him. Blue eyes opened wide, reading and re-reading what was written in them.
Admission form!
Visa!
Along with some other related documents.
Then he exclaimed in surprise.
"This? It is?"
Roly quickly turned to look at her, Clara had been looking at him waiting for him to finish watching it. A more pleasant smile in response.
"Are you really going to study abroad?"
He still couldn't believe she really did.
Clara nodded, letting out a small breath.
"I have thought a lot, this is my final decision, please respect it."
"What about Zane?"
Clara put her finger on Roly's mouth to prevent him from finishing his sentence. She knew what he was trying to say.
"It's over, Roly! It's about time to put an end to it. You and I both forget it and live well."
That empty smile again, she smiled, but her eyes were filled with sadness.
"Kakashi-sensei just gave it to me, he said the procedure is complete, I just need to prepare myself mentally before boarding the plane. You are the first person I want to tell this good news to. What else, congratulations I have."
She pretended to change the matter. Just to avoid his questioning.
Roly was silent at her request, an uneasy feeling tormenting his heart. He is struggling with himself, on the one hand, he feels relieved that she has definitely had a love affair with Zane, which means he has a chance to come to her, but he's not the type of person to have excess water. fishing, inciting Clara to act foolishly to later regret. On the other hand, he felt angry, unwilling to take her place. How could she decide to leave so easily, she should have fought for him instead of cowardly leaving like that? You should stay here and end this damned story.
Because he really couldn't bear to see her live in pain and torment later on because of the wrong choice today.
Unfortunately, Roly did not fully understand her feelings. Clara has absolutely good reason to decide to leave.
In the end, Roly acted according to reason. He gently got to the point.
"I don't agree." Roly spoke up looking at her in protest: "Why do you have to leave? You have to stay by Zane's side, right? Isn't it very unfair to you and Zane to leave?"
Clara looked at his gray face for a long time before answering. She wanted to understand his thoughts, but Roly deftly concealed half of his thoughts against what he had just asked her.
"Roly! Look in a brighter direction..."
"Is it okay?" He mumbled, averting his eyes, trying to decipher the meaning of Clara's words.
A moment later, he turned back, his glittering eyes still looking at him, never moving away for even a second.
"I don't understand." He admitted he didn't know what she wanted him to find out.
"What's mine, in the end, it's mine. If it's not mine, why waste your energy to hold on?"
Roly was still staring at her without taking his eyes off her.
"Zane isn't an object, or anything else, he is him, and neither am I. What good is it that I've brought my own hurt? In fact, right from the start. Our heads are nothing to each other."
Clara smiled with confusion, took a deep breath, and turned her attention back to the young man who was contemplating something.
'Why are you so quiet?' Clara tapped him on the shoulder and called him back to reality.
"I just... I still can't understand. What do you mean?"
"You know? I didn't realize this until today. I finally solved the long-standing puzzle. It turned out that there was some kind of emotional confusion between me and Zane."
"What is that?" Roly really wanted to know.
"I thought a lot about whether Zane really loved me or was it just a temporary feeling that I had a genuine concern for him? I admit I was moved by that feeling, but I'm not sure. Is that love? So..."
"What do you want to do?"
Roly asked her worriedly, clearly understanding her intentions.
"This is a good chance to clear things up. The time will come when there will be no more hesitation or regret, right?"
"She wanted to test Zane's feelings. She wanted to let him solve this problem on his own, so she decided to leave, without telling Zane clearly? How to do that?"
"I always believed that Zane and I were destined for each other. That's why we randomly met again and again, and today thanks to Sarah I understand one thing, it's not enough to have a relationship if between us is not If you have a debt, why be reluctant to be together. Destiny is determined by God, but debt depends on each person. Unfortunately, debt cannot be combined with fate if only one side tries to cultivate it, while the other side pushes it away. So I don't think I have any reason to tell Zane everything, it's better for him to find out on his own. So it's best if you don't tell Zane. won't you? Will you keep this a secret for me?"
"Clara. What if Zane doesn't find out for the rest of his life? You heartlessly let him be deceived by Sarah?"
Clara owes her smile again, this time with a bit of color in her eyes: "Then there's nothing more to say. It's all too clear. That our predestined relationship should soon end here. And though she didn't want to admit it. but had to accept that everything Zane told me was only temporary, maybe his heart was drunk at that time. Zane, like many other normal people, still prefers to choose the beautiful over the ugly. ."
"Clara."
"Enough Roly, stop here. I don't want our feelings to be affected because of Zane. If you consider me a friend, please respect my decision."
The silence didn't last long when Roly realized that Clara had just breathed a sigh of relief, her smile shining in the winter sky, brightening his troubled heart, helping it find a way out. Roly was sure she had cleaned up. Finished my heart.
"When are you leaving?"
"If nothing changes, I'll be flying over there in two weeks."
"Why so fast?"
Roly let out a startled exclamation that made her stare at him.
"I mean it was earlier than I thought." He quickly corrected his feelings.
"I want to get out of here quickly. I hope to leave next week."
Clara was eager, unaware of a budding disappointment in him.
"Are you ready yet?"
"Done a long time ago."
Roly was always asking redundant questions, she should have said more interesting things when she could still talk to Clara like now. In the end, he let his heart work on its own, without the intervention or supervision of his mind.
"Will we ever see each other again?"
Ask exactly what your heart wants to know, unlike the mind that is always round and round, the heart is different and always goes straight to the heart of the matter.
"Of course. I'll write to you when everything's settled. You can also call or text me unless you don't like it."
Just waiting for her to say that, he hastily requested.
"Give me your phone."
"What are you doing?"
"Just give it here."
Although Clara didn't know what he was going to do, there was no reason to oppose it.
"What is the password?" Roly returned the phone for her to enter the password, Clara dialed a series of numbers and handed the phone back to him.
Roly did something for a while and then gave it back to her. I know she can't wait to know what he said as soon as he handed her the phone.
"I have set up a location for your number, to avoid the same situation as last time, I really don't know where to find you."
"Why do you have to do that?" Clara was surprised and asked him questions.
"Who knows, maybe someday I'll fly over there to visit you."
Roly replied, turning her face away, so as not to let her realize that she was embarrassed to say it. Clara knew that she wanted to tease him, so she forced him to turn to look at her.
"Really? You said you had to keep your word."
Bright colors have really returned to that smile. Clara pointed her pinky towards him. A very cute waiting expression. How can Roly refuse this?
He reached out his hand, Hook and her little finger, both stamped the confirmation, so the commitment was made.
Roly wanted to be with Clara in this way, quietly but peacefully, instead of brusquely attacking when she was just going through an unhappy love affair.
After all, Roly wanted her heart to naturally turn to him, instead of forcing Clara to return her favor because of her favor.
Finally, Roly owed her a comfortable smile during the conversation that afternoon.
"It's hers." Roly returned the envelope to her. But Clara asked him to keep it.
"Can you help me keep them? Give them to me on the day of the flight. You know it won't be safe at home."
"Aren't you afraid I'll lose it or hide it from you?" Roly started teasing again, but who knows, maybe he really did.
Thinking that she would join in some joke with such a serious attitude she made his heart warm.
"I trust you." Clara always makes others believe her words with a very believable smile.
"It's late, I have to go somewhere," Clara said goodbye and turned to go first. But he made a suggestion.
"I'm going with you."
"You know where I'm going?"
Surprised by the offer, she looked back in surprise as he replied immediately.
"Hospital right?"
Her expression still showed that his surprise had not escaped her.
"If I remember correctly, you're going to visit my mother today, the fifteenth of every month, aren't you?"
Got it, Clara owes her smile and nods in agreement to let him come along.
"Then I'll wait for you at the bus stop first."
"YES."
Because she didn't want anyone to see her image with him, Clara suggested going first, he really didn't want to but had to respect Clara's opinion, Roly secretly wished one day to be on the right track. beside her, not afraid of regrets or afraid of anything.
While walking in the hall, Clara's footsteps suddenly stopped when she noticed that at the foot of the tree right at the entrance to the gate, the gangsters Sarah talked about were standing there as if waiting for someone. Are you sure you're not looking for her? but she still felt fear, perhaps instinctively, since she was the one to witness the scene with her own eyes, not Sarah.
Clara involuntarily stiffened, Standing motionless in the hall, until his voice behind her startled her.
"Why haven't you gone yet?"
Clara immediately turned around, her eyes panicking at him. Rolyly quickly realized that Clara's body was trembling slightly.
"What's up?" His worried voice began to rise. His sharp eyes scanned the area quickly and stayed where the young men were standing, he could tell that two of them were the two people who bullied Clara before.
Clara raised her hand to signal him to keep quiet and not raise his voice to draw their attention.
"Don't look that way."
She demanded and then grabbed his arm and pulled him behind the wall near the main door.
"Why hide?" Roly both reassured her and asked suspiciously. Holding her shaking shoulders with both hands, he looked at her, a look of hope that she believed he would protect her well.
"It's them." A trembling hand sketches a fragmentary sentence.
"They?" Roly narrowed her eyes again. Soon he understood everything.
"Clara! Don't be afraid! I'm here."
Clara nodded slightly, breathing evenly at his kind gesture.
"Okay, now let's go."
Roly suddenly grabbed her hand, pulling her close to him. Then the bandages walked out of the gate calmly, despite the curious eyes watching.
"Don't look anywhere, just follow me."
Regardless of what he said as he pulled her hand away, Clara was still surprised by his sudden action.
The fear then disappeared, but instead, the astonishment could not be put into words.
And the image of the couple quickly became the focus of everyone's attention. Among them was Zane, who was traveling with Sarah. Both are leaving school to go somewhere.
No one knew what Zane was thinking inside and beside him, Sarah showed an expression of astonishment as no one else.
Unexpectedly, Clara can attract Roly, a guy who is not inferior to Zane.
