The unofficial backstreet alfresco gallery created is one of the easily spotted place for attraction. The vivid colors used in the street art is worth the stroll. With the click of camera that I have in hand, I capture a few photos.
Caecius leaned his head towards the camera I am holding, I moved my hand towards his head for him to have a better access of the photos I took.
“Do you like it?” I happily asked. He nodded his head in approval and gave me a thumbs up.
“So, where do you want us to go next?” I looked around only to see loads of alleyways that made me feel dizzy.
“How about we go to one specific alley and see where it leads us?” Caecius suggested after seeing me rubbed my eyes due to the dizziness I felt.
“We have to note the fact that this place is appealing for pick pockets. We have to secure our things, Wyn.” I uttered as Iooked around for the second time, stared at the people who are busy checking the different stalls that are now opened. The other ones are closed, and are available to the public during weekends.
Stalls with various shapes and sizes are waiting to be explored. People can browse the stalls to buy any items, they sell books, clothing, jewelries, unusual quirky looking souvenirs.
“Let's go there.” I pointed at a stall that has horse statues at its entrance. It's distinct Bohemian vibe gives off an unconvetional and edgy coolness.
“Okay. Let's head inside.” Caecius pulled my wrist to intertwine our fingers together, promenading towards the place.
Distinctive horse tunnels and stable blocks welcomed us upon entering. Seeing these reminds me that this were used by horses that shunted cargos along the canal that can be seen nearby. Vintage clothing are accessible to be bought, alongside the handmade jewels, to the vinyl discs.
“Do you want to buy something?” My eyes wandered around, landed upon the colorful oriental lamps that are situated beside the uniquely styled Gothic dress.
“Isn't it impractical to buy that lamp just because I like how it looks, Wyn?” I waited for his answer as he eyed me closely. He looks so serious. His mouth moved and a smile has now finally appeared on his face.
“But— do you like it?” He asked.
I do. I stared at it for a few seconds. Contemplating whether I'll buy it or not.
Caecius pulled my hand to walk towards where the item was placed. I let him pulled me, with eyes still glued towards the lamp that caught my eyes.
“How much for one oriental lamp?” Caecius queried with a smile on, his eyes went to look at me and gave me a wink.
“It's 50 dollars.” The seller answered as he stared at Caecius and I's intertwined hands. Exchanging gazes with the woman beside him.
“Another couple to buy this one.” He said to the woman, his voice is enough to be heard by us.
“Another could bought this too?” I asked unaware that I said it directly to them without any second thoughts.
“Yes. The man's wife told us that the drawn exteriors on this lamp brings good luck. Her husband bought it immediately due to being fascinated with her wife's words. They bought it to be their lucky charm as they're having their fist baby.”
Caecius and I looked at each other, my cheeks reddened due to an unexplainable feeling.
“Here.” Caecius opened his wallet and handed a 100 dollar bill towards the man. “You can keep the change.”
The woman smile widened as she carefully place the lamp inside the box. “This will secure the item to avoid any breakage.” She hand it towards Caecius and smile at me happily.
We walked hand in hand, not striking a topic that can start a conversation between us.
“What do you think about it? Do you think this can serve as a bearer in giving us the luck that we needed?” I commented, Caecius chuckled lightly.
“It will serve it's purpose, Fari.” He gripped my hands, the way I want it to be held. Not too tight, not to light. It's just right. Our fingers fit perfectly with each other.
“We forget to go to the underground station of Northern Line. I was thrilled to have a ride there with you.” I jabbered.
“We can go there for a ride right now if you want to.” I shook my head at him.
“We need to do what you want to do right now, Wyn. It's time for us to try the waterbus for a little tour around. Caecius smiled at my answer.
We headed towards it. Hearing the music gondola that travels up and down the canal.
“They do that at regular intervals.” I whispered at Caecius.
We reached the boat, positioned ourselves on it. As we comfortably reclined on the blankets laid out for its passengers.
My eyes stared at the heavy wooden safari style furnishings and the faux wood carvings that covered the surface. From my peripherals I saw Caecius threw his head back as he looks at me with his heart-stopping gaze.
I play it cooly. Brushed off the delightful feelings that rushed through my veins upon receiving his stare.
Having to spend the entire day with Caecius replenish me with a refreshing feeling. Nothing beats the feels of having to wander around with the person who holds a certain sense of familiarity to my senses. I looked at him as his hand holds the stirring wheel, as the other one was gently holding my hand. He gently made a circulating movement with the touch of his fingers around my hand.
“We're here.” I uttered in soft voice.
He got out of his car, turned to walk to the other side. He opened the car door for me.
I soley choose to live here. Here in this contemporary residential apartment at the heart of the convent garden. Aside from how I love the appearance of the place, it will only take a few minutes for me to reach the train station which is a convenient form of transportation that I can use to get me to my workplace.
“See you tomorrow. Good night, Fari.” I stared at his face, waited for what he is about to do next. He smiled at me and placed a kiss on my cheeks.
“I hope you had a great time with me, Wyn.” I said with a little bit of doubt about whether he had a good time with our date.
He pulled me into his embrace. Wrapping his hands around me he said; “Any activity can make me happy as long as I have you beside me.” He removed his hands and gave me a fleeting kiss on the forehead a signal to finish off the date we have today...
