“A Wanderer, a Creep, and a Sanen, that’s one weird combination,” Amon pointed out Johann’s phone as she was panting from dodging the continuous attacks from the pawns “Right? These three are my first pieces so I’m really proud of them. Especially the sanen, I’ve come a long way after feeding my mana to it after my meditations.” Johann proudly stated as he stood still on his position casting spells and commands to the pawns. The Sanen, who was now starting to grow horns lunged to Amon. Despite being attacked, Amon was amazed by the Sanen. Since Sanen’s are usually used as pets it’s uncommon to see one on a battlefield. But given the weird hero, one should really not be surprised by the oddities anymore. The goat-like monster was a docile horn less monster, but if a master feed the Sanen with mana, the Sanen will eventually grow and level up until it reaches a point where its horn grows. Rumors say that the growth of the Sanen is ultimately slow, yet when it reaches its peak, the Sanen was relatively powerful. And Amon, who was now facing one who has nearly reached its peak, cannot help herself but be amazed. But of course, she did not get to the point of total awestruck that she forgot to defend. With a binding spell, she restricted the Sanen’s movement, and yet another attack was directed to her, the silver wolf Wanderer attacked her using ice magic, almost making her slip. When she thought she has successfully avoided the attack a thread of silk wrapped around her legs and pulled her towards the Sanen who was lying in wait. It was a combo attack from the three pawns. It was careless of her to not assume that the Creep in Harlequin control was low leveled. Creeps that still have their worm form were low leveled, but when they reach their maximum level they can assume another intelligent creature’s form once, they usually copy wizlings. Amon once again scolded herself for failing to notice the butterflies hovering around the Creep, maybe she was too focused on Harlequin that she forgot to observe the pawns, or maybe she was just too confident that these creatures were all low leveled. The butterflies hovering around the Creep must mean it already was able to assume a different form, which just also means it already became the queen of butterflies, or as it is called when they reach the maximum level because butterflies follow them around. Adding the Wanderer he has, the hero has made quite the strong team. But it was not enough to bring the genius monk. She was not envied to the point of isolation for nothing. The strong monks that were threatened by her presence were not showing cowardice for nothing. Because despite her frail look, Amon was strong enough to take on alone a group of Class B monsters. As Amon was being pulled towards the Sanen by the Creep’s thread, she murmured a Class S spell. The monk has already reached Class S but was constantly using Class S spells in consideration of the novice hero. But it seems like she was getting overpowered so there was no need to suppress the mahò anymore. When lighting was rushing to her, her foot trapped in the silk and the Sanen lying in wait for her, she saw the victory smile on Harlequin’s face but this time, Amon smiled back to him. A wide scale light beam plunged from above to the mini battle arena. Harlequin who was shocked by the sudden smile on Amon’s face was grazed by the spell; he felt the spirits vanish together with the chess board battle field. The spirits returned to him, but he did not have enough mana to call them again. Due to the thick smoke, Harlequin could not see anything from the ground where the board once lied. There were also no visible movements from Amon. Did she just detonate herself? So why is the goddess not doing anything? Harlequin casted the goddess a look, but she was still intently watching the battle ground, the barrier was also still up, meaning the battle was still ongoing. Just as Harlequin put his guard up again, a beam of light that was zigzagging its way to him successfully reached his body. The hero coughed blood as he took the impact of the attack. “Victory is not guaranteed until you see your enemy lying helplessly in front of you, with the will to fight not existing anymore,” Amon’s voice was heard as she slowly emerged from the thick smoke. Amon pointed her staff to the hero and another beam slowly formed at the tip of it. She did not have any intention of stopping until Harlequin was completely immobile. “I concede,” Harlequin voiced out as he raised his tired hands up in surrender. “It’s my defeat,” he further implied. Amon stared at him for a moment until finally retracting her staff and stepping backwards. The magic barrier vanished and the goddess of the wind who was at the great dragon’s back approached nearer. The young monk stretched her hand to the hero to help him get back to his feet which he gratefully accepted. He was not in the slightest upset by his loss, for him it was an effective lesson he wholeheartedly took for future references. The consolation he gave himself was, “The next time would be my win,” he resolved and he conveyed it to Amon who challengingly smirked at him. “The battle you have shown is deserving of admiration. In this fight you are able to test each other’s skills, may this serve as a guide for you and get even stronger until we reach our goal,” The goddess of the wind surrounded them with a fresh breath of wind that cooled their wounds. It was a refreshing air that carries the praises of their revered goddess. ********* “We need to find them now, your officials,” Moria told Harlequin. The sad smile was painted on her face as she tried to convince the hero that will save the Island of Llfhame. “I can find them myself, just go back to the realm Moria, I promise I’ll put a stop to the Grand Arch Wizard,” the painful expression on Harlequin’s face made the pain in Moria’s heart grow even more. “Sa oras na bumalik ako, I told you I can’t come back down again right?” Moria said. Her mind still conflicted upon going back or not to the real. The situation of the realm was tight. The Grand Arch Wizard was already threatening the Gates of the Realm of Heaven so the Supreme Being Gaeara has ordered all the gods and goddesses to give out the blessings in their respective continents and come back to the realm. The enemy was already making a weapon that could destroy gods, he was a being whose ambition surpasses the clouds in the sky, even reaching the domain of gods. The gods were strong, yes, but it is the law of equilibrium that they cannot break. It is to never directly interfere with the flow of destiny and let the wizlings draw their own fate. There would be no worry about being able to defend themselves from the enemy, but gaining power from the realm of heaven would make the Grand Arch Wizard powerful enough to dominate the entire continent of Llfhame and soon enough the whole world can possibly be on his own palm. “So what are you planning to do? Wait for that Wizard to end your life? I’m strong enough Moria, you made me this strong,” Another disadvantage of the gods is that the more time they are away from the realm of gods, the more they get weaker, this time, Moria has been away for too long. “Harlequin,” the soft melodic voice disrupted all the agonizing thoughts on the hero’s mind. “Just until you gather all the officials, from then I will go back and will wait until you can defeat the Wizard.” The goddess of the wind compromised. It was her mission to guide the hero until the end, to ensure that the hero can safely return to his world. Even if it means that she should break the order, or sacrifice herself so he could go back. It was Moria’s hidden intention that she had never told Harlequin. It was the plan from the very first time since Moria summoned the hero, because if the hero is saved it would mean that the Island and the wizlings would be safe. If it was before they both fell in love with each other, she would not have an ounce of hesitation to tell him she intends to return him back to his world. But the time was different; Harlequin was even willing to do this mission all alone just to ensure the Moria’s safety. “Just till then, afterwards, just watch me defeat that damned wizard up in the realm of gods.” Harlequin voiced with conviction. ********* “The Valiant Knight, Valencia, I proclaim you as the impenetrable castle that will protect the east of my domain. And on the west stands the Unyielding Knight, Dodou. The knights that will fight for the king, the Dauntless Soldier, Thomas, and the Gallant Soldier Holter, honor this proclamation. The Exuberant Mage, Lalia and Holy Priest Yahya, I proclaim you as the bishops who shall rain blessings on my domain. Oh races that represents the strength of this Island, the powerful and the brave that will stand by my side until defeating the evil that threatens this world, will you sign a temporary contract and let me own your soul from this moment till we reach our goal? As you pledge, this vow shall be unbreakable until the king releases your souls or till the ends are met,” “We shall pledge and adhere to the proclamation of the hero, our king,” the most powerful representative of the races kneeled in front of Harlequin, the mystical creatures that names will soon be known all over the continent, pledging their loyalty and allowing their souls to be on Harlequin’s hands. A white circle glowed around them etching in their soul the mark that they are temporarily owned by Harlequin. Thus, they would have to follow the hero and become his power. As of that moment, they became the Spirits that will become the Majestic Hero’s officials. The goddess of the wind smiles as she watched how the hero she has nurtured approached the final step until she faces the enemy. The hardships the hero have gone through to make these mystical creatures his officials were arduous, but that would be another tale to tell. Right now, it was time to face the adversary that corrupts the realm of gods. It was also almost time for the parting of the majestic hero and the goddess of the wind whose story hasn’t even begin but was already about to end.
