Wednesday,
The lecture today was english.
Due to it being a general subject some of the students were assigned to sit in one class. The venue chosen was a large hall which could easily accommodate one thousand students. 
Mira had received a text from Joseph earlier that day. “ I can't wait to spend the two hour lecture sitting right next to you. ” what this did was leave numerous butterflies in her belly. 
Though they've been together for a while, they've never really sat down together for a lecture as they were studying different courses and barely had subjects in common.
But now?
It really seemed like nature was finding a way to bring them together. 
The mere thought of having to spend a whole lecture sitting right to him made Mira blush.
“ Oh wow, sweet sixteen is turning red already. ” Evie nudged her with a mischievous wink.  “ It's not. ” her attempt to deny was shoved off by Evie who replied with a wink. “ I just hope you guys don't end up making out with your eyes in class. ” Mira simply rolled her eyes realizing the latter only said that to provoke her.

Mira stood at the entrance of the class for some seconds wondering if she should head in or not. 
She already spotted Joseph sitting at the center of the class, but wouldn't it be weird if she just went in and sat with him? Wouldn't that make her classmates suspect there's something going on?
Not like they were hiding their relationship, since it was public knowledge already.
Yet, she still felt self conscious. 
   “ Just go in and sit right beside him, Mira. It's no news. ” Hilda one of Mira's course mates smiled at her giving her a nudge.  “ Yeah. Thanks. ” came her awkward reply as she entered the class and walked towards Joseph's desk and sat. 
“ Hey Babe. ” Joseph totally ignored the partly filled class as he embraced her with a peck on her cheeks.  “ Hi. ” the tomato faced Mira replied shyly. 
“ How are you? ” He still had his arms around her lovingly as he replied. “ I am fine. ” she replied quickly hoping he'll let go of her but he didn't.  “ You look super pretty today, Babe. ” he tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. “ I guess. ” hearing her curt reply, Joseph got the message and released her. 
Mira released a breath she didn't know she had been holding as soon as he did. 
Soon, the lecture began.
It was English.
Being the good student that they were, they avoided any sort of interactions till the lesson ended. 
“ I believe you are aware that the project will be due in two weeks. ” The professor reminded them before leaving. “ Yes sir. ” 
“ That's better. Good day. ” with that, he walked out of the class. 
“ Went better than I expected. ” Mira said subconsciously, biting her lip. “ It did. ” His reply brought her back to reality and then she realized that she wasn't alone after all. “ Oh. ”
“ When is your next lecture? ” Joseph inquired packing his books. “ 2pm. ” 
Staring at his wristwatch. “ You've got thirty minutes left. ” 
“ Yeah. ”
“ Let's have a quick lunch before you head to the next lecture room. ” He suggested to which, Mira nodded as she proceeded to pack her books too as they both headed out. 
As they went, Joseph met one of his friends and they exchanged pleasantries. 
Still it felt that time was more than enough for someone to come looking for trouble. 
A brown haired guy, popularly known as Daniel the king blocked Mira's way.
“ What do you want? ” Mira inquired, staring at him. “ You haven't given me a reply yet, Mira. I said I love you. ” 
“ I am in a relationship already. ” she went straight to the point, not bothering about beating around the bush. “ That doesn't matter. ”
Hearing that, Mira raised an eyebrow. “ What do you mean? ” 
“ You are in a relationship doesn't mean you shouldn't go out with other guys. Look at you. You are still very young. You definitely wouldn't want to miss out on fun, would you? ” 
“ Fun... With you? ” She let out a short chuckle. 
“ Of course. I am the king of the campus. You can't have fun with anyone better than me. ”
“ You – ”
“ Daniel, Your dad's company is on the brink of bankruptcy, or am I wrong? ” Joseph's words interrupted Mira as they finally got to notice his presence. 
He simply placed a loving hand on Mira's waist, a sign of possession. 
Mira smiled realizing this and simply leaned back on him. 
Daniel who saw this couldn't help but shake in fear. “ How... How do you know? ” He had a hard time believing what he just heard. That was meant to be a secret which wasn't known to the public yet. So how come he knew?
“ I have my ways. ” Joseph gave him a warning smile. The latter got the message immediately and walked away from the couple.
“ You scared him. ” Mira commented after he left. “ Um. He deserved it. ” staring at his watch once again. “ You've got less than twenty minutes left till the beginning of your next class. ”
“ Yeah. ” She raised a questioning eyebrow at him. “ If only I could carry you in my arms to the tea shop. ” 
“ You wouldn't dare. ” she laughed. “ I wish I could. ”
“ Let's have snacks instead. ” Joseph pointed at a shop nearby. 
“ Okay. ”
In the end, they got some snacks and spent the little time they had left under a shade nearby as they snacked. 
Though they didn't speak much, they felt comfortable in one another's company. 
That proved just how strong their bond was. They obviously didn't have to speak much to understand what was on the other person's mind.
“ Jose. ”
“ Um? ”
“ I love you. ”
He felt his heart skip a beat when he heard that. “ I love you more. ” he embraced her. 
Mira didn't say a word as she simply leaned into his embrace and stayed there, quietly listening to his heart beat.
