Keelan's POV
The sky was still dark when we left the Kingdom. The moon and stars were still visible early in the morning, but now there was a hint that it would not take long for the sun to rise and we were just flying for about ten minutes.
“Hurry up, seaweed!” she called for me to keep up my pace with her, but I flew slower which made her stop and come towards me as she said, “What's your problem?”
I shrugged as I continued to fly in no hurry. “Nothing.”
Vanessa switched from my side to the front, facing me and blocking my way. Her red curly hair absorbed the impact and was now tangled and messy as the wind blew against it. Not being bothered by her hair coming to her face, she folded her arms and raised a brow at me. “Are you sulking because Carl agreed with my idea?”
I huffed and turned to the right to run past her. I increased my speed but then she grabbed my arm, making me turn my head to her. “Well, it's the Crown Prince's order. I should obey.”
She released my hand and laughed. I scowled. “What’s so funny?”
“Awww, you're so adorable when you're mad!” she said as she pinched my cheeks. I shoved her hand, ignored her, and left. She didn’t follow me and stayed there based on how she yelled without a beat, “Oh, come on! Carl said that it's your call to make the decision. He didn’t order you to do what I suggested, he just agreed.”
I ignored what she said and yelled back, “Hurry! Aren't you coming?”
She boosted her speed and had caught up with my pace. She was going with me to the human world to meet Eurivin. She told me that she was curious about her and that she wanted to be introduced to her. At first, I didn’t like the idea, but then I agreed because she would do me a favor by keeping an eye on Eurivin while I observe Nathan. But before that, I suggested that we should swap places and that she, herself, would do her brilliant idea of seducing Nathan, but Carl strongly objected.
After a couple of minutes, we arrived at Eurivin's place. I decided to take Vanessa here to let her know where she lived. With our cupid form, we slipped through the wall and let ourselves in uninvited. In the dining area, Harry was finishing his sandwich in a hurry. Taking the last bite, he grabbed the glass of water and drank it straight, his gulp was audible. He must be running late for work. I turned my gaze to Vanessa who was now staring at Harry indifferently and mumbled something I didn’t hear. I ignored it and introduced him to her. “That's Eurivin's father, Harry.”
With no expression on her face, she nodded and then looked at me. “Where is Eurivin?”
I raised my brows. “Why do I feel like you're so excited to see—”
I was cut off by Harry's loud voice. “Vin, aren't you done yet?”
“Wait, dad. Spare me three more minutes,” Eurivin answered.
“Is she in that room?” Vanessa asked, pointing her mouth to the bedroom door that was slightly opened.
We weren't sure where Eurivin's voice was coming from. Was it from the bedroom or the bathroom? Harry was just talking loudly, not looking to where she might be, he just took his phone and scrolled through it. “Hurry up, I'll be late for work!”
“Yes, dad. I'm almost done!”
I waited for Eurivin's reply before I looked at Vanessa and replied as I shrugged. “Perhaps?. . . Anyway, back to what I was saying earlier, why do I feel like you're so excited to see her?”
She giggled. “Of course! This is the girl you are speaking highly of and I'm too curious about her.”
I smirked. “She deserves my compliment.”
Vanessa raised a brow at me and gave me a smile that meant something else.
I rolled my eyes at her. “You know what? Let's just go to that room.”
“Come on,” I said as she continued to smile at me teasingly, I sighed, and then when I took a step, heading towards the room, Vanessa stopped me by grabbing my arm and said, “What if she's changing?”
I paused for a moment and her words sunk into my head until she slapped me hard on my arm. I winced in pain and touched the spot where she had hit me, and spat, “What was that for?”
“You were blushing!” she said as she put her knuckles on her hips. “What were you imagining?”
“No, I wasn’t! I didn’t imagine anything!” I exclaimed. I didn’t imagine Eurivin changing!
She narrowed her eyes at me and murmured, “You little pervert.”
“I told you I wasn't!”
Vanessa scoffed and shook her head, not believing what I told her. She then flashed a palm at me and said, “Okay, just stay here and I'll go check.”
I nodded, but before I could answer, “sure,” the bedroom door was pulled back widely, Eurivin coming out from the room. She hurriedly helped her father put on the coat and gave him the leather briefcase she was carrying. “Sorry, dad. It took a bit longer to straighten the wrinkles on your suit.”
“Okay, next time be sure to wake up early in case this happens again,” he stated as he scurried to the door and shut it behind him after he said goodbye to Eurivin, which made me surprised. He was not that bad at Eurivin like before. I felt relieved somehow knowing that he was taking my warning seriously.
After her father left, Eurivin pulled out a chair for her to slump, her forehead bumped on the table, arms fell to her sides. She let an audible sigh and began to mumble. The only thing I heard was, “I'm going crazy.”
I furrowed my brows, not sure what she meant when she said she was going crazy. I wasn’t used to seeing her being vulnerable. I turned my gaze at Vanessa to hear her opinion but stopped myself from asking when I saw her looking at Eurivin with so much concern in her eyes. What's with her?
“Why are you looking like that at Eurivin? Don't tell me she's your type?” I said jokingly.
She threw a glare at me as if telling me if I had gone insane. I raised my brows at her. “What?”
“Ha Ha! You're so funny I can't stop laughing,” she said as she purposely faked a laugh and threw a fake punch on my shoulder that made me swerve. This time she laughed genuinely. “When will you introduce me to her?”
“Why are you so excited? I will let you meet her later when she's on duty.”

I rang Eurivin's phone when she was on duty for an hour. We observed her from the time we had arrived at her house, which was 7:30 AM until now at 10 AM. We didn’t notice any sign of her being in love or something and for some reason, I felt undeniably happy, but at the same time, I wondered why the second meetup with Nathan didn’t have much effect on her.
I ordered Mirim to turn my voice into Kayla's and informed Eurivin that I would come to visit her at the store and she agreed, but why did it feel like I was deceiving her? Without her knowing, we were watching her.
This time, I admit this is called stalking.
During the time we were in our cupid form, Vanessa asked me about Eurivin, how was she living her life, about her dad, and everything about her. Though some of her questions I didn’t know the answers to, such as, when she asked me about Eurivin's mother, why did her father want his child to be a boy, and if I was her first girlfriend. “How could I ask her those questions? I doubt she'd even let me open those subjects,” I said, and then Vanessa replied, “you didn’t even try, how did you know that?”
30 minutes later, I asked Vanessa to step outside to turn ourselves into our human form. Entering the store once again, I called, “Babe!”
“You sure look like you've missed her,” Vanessa teased.
“Shut it, Van,” I murmured back not averting my gaze at Eurivin while smiling.
As we head towards the counter, Eurivin signaled through her eyes as if asking who was the person beside me. She stared at me in the eyes and then glance at Vanessa, then back to me.
“I didn’t know you'll be here early,” she said.
“Sorry, babe. I have to be somewhere else later, so I thought I should pay you a visit right now,” I said and then flipped a hand to Vanessa as I introduced her. “This is Vanessa, by the way. She's my cousin and I want you to meet her for me to be fair to you since you've already introduced me to your father.”
She nodded, smiled at me, and then turned her gaze to Vanessa and extended a hand. “Nice to meet you, Vanessa. I'm Eurivin, Kayla's boyfriend.”
Eurivin glanced at me, then to her hand that wasn't yet taken by Vanessa.
“Hey, Van!” I called and she finally snapped out, taking Eurivin's hand and saying it was nice to meet her. Just a while ago, she was staring at her in star-struck awe, which seemed strange to me. She didn’t give me that reaction when she first met me and it was hurting my ego.
When the atmosphere became light from awkward, I whispered to Vanessa to try to control herself from gawking at Eurivin before I bid goodbye to them and left.
It's time to get on to the next target!
I ordered Mirim to track Nathan's location and headed to where he was. He was working in a life insurance company far enough to get to Eurivin in an hour's drive, perhaps. I sighed in relief knowing that the situation wasn't as bad as I imagined.
I was surveying the building to search for Nathan when I found a group of men in the employees’ lounge area, they were sitting comfortably eating their own snacks while chatting. All of them wearing matching suits. When one of the men mentioned Nathan's name, I came toward them and confirmed that Nathan was indeed there.
“Nathan, how was your meeting with the client yesterday?” the bald man asked before he took a bite of his burger. He was a little chubby and perhaps in his middle 40s.
“It was great. She purchased a policy from us,” he replied with a grin. “By the way, I have something to tell you, guys, about this girl I've met before.”
“A girl? You mean the girl you were talking about last time?” the guy with the glasses asked after swallowing the last bite of his pizza.
Nathan nodded and I had the feeling I wouldn’t like what he was going to say after.
He drank his water before he answered, “Yes! The one I told you about who I mistakenly thought was a boy. I saw her at the convenience store near the place of my client.”
Opening his tumbler, the bald man said, “and?”
“She was gorgeous! My heart was beating crazy when I saw her again. I can’t even describe how I feel right now. I can't stop thinking about her." He sighed. “Am I going crazy?”
His friends laughed at him and said, “You're in love, dude!”
Nathan groaned. “What should I do? I asked for her number but she refused.”
Suddenly, I felt my lips forming into a smile. Eurivin did do that? How did she resist the power of the second meet-up? Good thing I went to see Nathan. Now I know that he was completely affected by the second meet-up, while Eurivin maybe not.
“Dude, do you know how I made my girlfriend say yes to me?” the man with the four eyes asked.
Nathan shook his head. “No. How did you do it?”
“It was my persistence. I didn’t give up!” he said as he placed a hand on Nathan's shoulder. “Go see her again and ask her out.”
“No!” I grumbled as if they could hear me. “No, you won't. I won't let that happen! If I need to swallow my pride and take Vanessa's stupid idea, then I will!”
