Rex got into Cherry's apartment thirty minutes after leaving G-Stark and seeing the entire chaos all around brought dread inside of him as he fears the worse already happened.
"Maria!" He calls out from the open entrance.
"Rex?" Maria asked.
"Mia!" He repeats again when he heard her voice inside the apartment.
"I'm in here!"
Rex hastily followed her voice to the bedroom where he saw Cherry, battered, weak, and bleeding. She laid helplessly on Maria's legs gasping for air. Guilt filled his insides and he blames himself for what happened to Cherry before knowing what actually happened.
"What happened? Cherry-" Rex hurries to them and dropped to his knees shocked by the severity of Cherry's injuries. He took the poor girl from Maria cradling her into his arms. Cherry groaned weakly when Rex moved her too quickly and her breathing started to become shallow and alarming. "Who did this, what happened to my girl?" Rex demanded strongly.
"She was attacked! but I was glad to reach here on time else she would have been killed. Rex, we can't waste much time, Cherry needs to be taken to the hospital now." Maria cries out but tries to be strong for Cherry.
"Who- who did this?" He whispers in shock and anger. "Whoever it is, I will make them pay!"
"REX! This is not the time to hunt anyone. Cherry is dying and she needs medical assistance right now! REX!!" Maria shouts in desperation and shook his shoulders to snap him out of the trance.
"Ye- yes- hospital, she needs a hospital." Rex snapped out of the trance trying to focus on getting Cherry to a hospital and hunting the culprit later.
Like a different part of him came alive, Rex sprang into action and carried Cherry out of the apartment with Maria hot on his tail. They took his luxurious car because it was fast and spacious. Rex placed Cherry gently at the back with Maria beside her for comfort while he took the wheel and drove to his hospital.
Maria noticed Rex was planning to get Cherry to his hospital which was miles away from where they were, if they continued, Cherry would be gone before they reached, the important thing is to administer first treatment to save her life.
"Rex, there is no time to head to your hospital, just find the nearest one!" Maria tells him.
"Fine!." He reluctantly agrees. "We'll head for Town Premise!."
Town Premise is a private hospital owned by one of Rex's trusted investors and he hoped they will be able to help Cherry when they get there, then after, she can be transferred back to his own hospital for the remaining treatment, but the journey to the hospital wasn't an easy task as heavy traffic hits straight ahead.
"What now?" Maria complains when Rex slowed down.
"Traffic up ahead, we will have to take the long cut." He replied calmly though he was fuming on the inside.
"Just hurry, I don't think she can hold on mush long-"
Cherry's painful groaning caught their attention making Maria panic and Rex terrified if she was going to die in the car. With every second that passed, Cherry's breathing got shallow and she turned pale.
"Drive faster!. Cherry, do not close your eyes, do not close your eyes on me!" Maria lightly tapped her fingers on her cheeks making sure Cherry didn't fall unconscious.
"Just, hang in there baby. We're almost there." Rex promised and went above the speed limit indicated for that area, risking it all to save her. When they were some blocks away police sirens wailed from behind forcing them to park.
"Now isn't the time..." Maria whined.
"Be patient Mia, I will handle this." Rex assures her, he tries to be calm and unfazed but in truth, he was breaking gradually on the inside.
"Please, show- oh!- Mr Angelo sir, it is you. Wha- what an honor-" The police stammers upon seeing the billionaire behind the wheel, and it shocked the officer that Rex was speed driving.
"Arrghh-" Cherry groans loudly as a wave of pain hits her below, the officer was a bit puzzled and looked inside the car from Rex's window. There, he saw Maria trying to comfort Cherry but her face and body were covered with a scarf to hide the bruises.
"Sir-"
"She is my fiancee, and she is in pain. We are trying to reach Town Premise, could you form an escort for us. The traffic is holding us down."
"Well, because it is you, sir, anything for you, sir." The officer promised and goes to gather an escort.
And just like that, Rex's simple request could not be ignored and he was immediately escorted by four police cars, two at the front and two behind. Rex called the owner of the hospital, telling him to prepare a team of doctors that will be waiting in the private area. The police made sure to clear traffic and lead them safely till they go inside the hospital premises.

"We need a doctor! We need a doctor!" Maria shouts as she runs into the hospital building. She left Rex in the car to take Cherry in while she goes to get the doctors the hospital didn't prepare down. Because Cherry is in severe pain and couldn't be carried about just anyhow, Maria volunteered to bring the doctors to the private area.
"Doctor! Doctor!" She yells desperately to one she spots at the front desk.
"Yes- yes- yes-" He answered perplexed to be yelled at.
"We need a doctor, please. Where are the rest! They were supposed to wait at the private entrance..." Maria speed talked and began pulling him to the corridor.
"Calm down Miss, and tell me-"
Maria didn't listen and urges him to follow her. The doctor had little time to react and only a few seconds to signal the nurses to bring in a stretcher. Soon, a bunch of nurses and doctors followed Maria to the back where the private area is located, they met Rex halfway through with Cherry unconscious in his arms. Because they were parked in the private area and the doctors didn't wait for them as instructed, the medical team had to go all the way to the back to fetch them and carried Cherry on a stretcher. The private area was a premium pass, not anybody gets to be treated there except for certain people. The only reason Rex wasn't queried is becuase he is famous and a friend to the owner.
"It's going to be okay, just hang in there Cherry." Maria encourages while Rex follows from behind unable to look at her. The medical team pushed forward but asked both Maria and Rex to wait in the lodging area separated from the public one in the front as they attended to Cherry. Though they really wanted to know what is going on behind the emergency room they will have to exercise some patience to hear the results.
Two hours later...
"What's taking them so long?" Rex grumbles and Maria heard it.
"We need to be patient Rex, I am sure they are doing everything they can to save her." Maria told him. She stopped crying a while ago because there weren't any tears left to shed. It is important to have a clear head when the doctor comes in
"For how long? I can't wait here doing nothing while Cherry fights for her life!." He roars.
"Throwing tantrums won't help us Rex."  
"At least I am worried unlike you, you are just sitting on the couch like nothing is happening!." He yells.
Maria had tried to be sympathetic with him but it looks like she will have put him in his place. Her eyebrows twitched showing how irritated she is.
"I am sitting doing nothing? Do you know the kind of mental breakdown this whole incident is having on me? My silence doesn't mean I am stupid or hardened. I have been with Cherry since the beginning. Where were you when she needed you the most? I only knew her in a short time and I have been there always, but you, you've known her since and what have you contributed in her life other than pain and sadness!"
Rex knew Maria was right but he refuses to take the blame. "I can't wait anymore- I am going in there!." Rex charges forward to leave the waiting room but Maria holds him down.
"COME-BACK-HERE! Don't you do anything stupid Rex Giovanni Angelo, and let the doctors do their jobs." Maria drags him and pushed him on the couch.
"Yeah? So you can list all my faults and tell me how horrible I was to her?... I have waited two freaking hours and no one is coming out!."
"Someone will so stop being dramatic!" She snaps angrily.
While they battled one another with words the door opens and a different doctor comes in but with a sad look on his face.
'this isn't good news'
"So?" Rex implies.
"Rex!... doctor, how is she?" Maria asked properly.
"Huh- I might need to speak to you both in private." The doctor suggest and they followed him to the office. Rex was more restless than before and demanded answers from the doctor since he couldn't get them from Maria.
"Mr Angelo, first I want to say it is such an honor to attend-" The doctor wanted to greet him but that wasn't really the time.
Rex immediately shoots up from his chair aiming to snatch the doctor by the collar, if not that Maria was there to stop him chaos would have begun, and maybe they will get thrown out of the hospital for attacking a doctor.
"Hold still Rex, doctor, please just go straight to the point you know how Rex can be with patience." Maria explains and he nods in understanding.
"I'm- I'm sorry sir, so- uhm- Cherry... she is your fiancee?" He asked Rex.
"Yes." He replied.
"There is a lot surrounding her right now but you should know that her condition is very critical and that also because she is pregnant and nearing her due date. I have never seen such brutality in my life but the baby is-"
"Wait, wait- hold still, did you just say baby? Pregnant?" Rex asked and Maria gulps nervously.
"Yes, your fiance is six months pregnant, well nearing seven." 
Rex's eyes widen in shock with his mouth agape, and Maria could only sit in silence waiting for him to explode.
