Chapter 34: In A Relationship
I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed the medicine kit, only to see him furrowing his brow and standing up. "I don't want alcohol! NO!" I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. It was epic! HAHAHAHAHA. "You’re so brave but afraid of alcohol? Are you kidding me?" I shot back with a chuckle as I soaked a piece of cotton in the alcohol. For just a moment, I turned my head, and suddenly he was gone. Seriously? What a child! I stood up, carrying the cotton and the alcohol, knowing I needed to treat his wound. I checked the walk-in closet, but he wasn't there. Then I moved to the balcony, still no sign of him. Where could he have gone? "HEY! GAYBOY, ARE YOU COMING OUT OR NOT? PICK ONE!" I shouted while walking toward the bathroom. Hmm? It's locked, which means he must be in there. He’s in for it now. I told him Barbie would be here HAHAHAHA. I headed over to the shelf and grabbed the duplicate key before returning to the bathroom. "HAJIEEEE! WHERE ARE YOU? YUHOOOOO!" I shouted, laughing, even though I already knew his location. I unlocked the door and walked in, peering into the closed shower door, but it was empty. Where could he possibly be?! "Are you looking for me?" I jumped at the sound of his voice. There he was, casually leaning against the bathroom door, wrapped in a comforter. What kind of whimsy is this? "Tsk! What’s with that act, huh?" I shot back, walking over to flick his forehead gently. My brow furrowed when I felt heat radiating from him. I even touched his neck to make sure. Oh my gosh! He has a fever. "I’m cold, but I couldn’t find a jacket. Your jacket won't fit me because you’re so skinny," he pouted, tugging at his comforter as he walked away from me. "We need to treat your wound, and I'm going to make you take your medicine. HEY! Listen to me! You need to recover for training,” I instructed him, adjusting his comforter. "Heh! I don’t want to train! That's why I’m sick now, and it’s your fault! So you have to take care of me," he exclaimed with indignation. "Just admit it—you're a coward who’s afraid of a little alcohol," I teased, heading for the door. "I’m not gay! You just want a kiss!" he shot back with a grin. I rolled my eyes and shut the door behind me before making my way to the kitchen to prepare some congee. I bumped into Hajie's mom, her brow furrowed, looking as though she had a significant problem. "What’s wrong, Auntie?” I asked. "It’s about Hajie. I’m worried he might faint during training, especially since he’s afraid of hospitals. Have you two finished yet?" she asked while grabbing a glass of water. "Not yet, but he got a minor cut and now has a fever," I replied, starting to prepare my meal. "What? Where is he now?" she asked, concern deepening in her voice. "He’s in my room, Auntie. It’s my fault, so I’ll take care of him," I said with a smile, and she nodded back at me. Once I finished cooking, I made my way upstairs, carrying a tray filled with congee, medicine, and water for that little monster HAHAHAHA, just kidding. "R-Renlyn... c-can you lower or turn off the air conditioning, please?" he stammered, shivering. I grabbed the remote and turned off the air conditioning before setting the tray on the side table. I only had one hand free due to carrying the tray. "Haiist! Bad timing for you to get sick. How are we supposed to train?" I remarked to him, feeling exasperated. All I got in response was a frown as he turned his back to me. I sat next to him and touched his neck again. Wow! He was even warmer. "Hey, sit up and eat, quick!" I commanded, but he ignored me. "Hey!" I poked him slightly. "I-I don't want to," he responded like a sulking child. I turned him to face me and helped him sit up, propping him against the pillow. "You should be grateful! You owe me this, and you’re buying me cookies 'n cream ice cream afterward," I joked as I started feeding him. "Who cooked this?" he asked, sipping on his medicine. "Why?" I asked curiously. "It's delicious," he said modestly before lying back down. "Oh, it’s nothing, HAHAHAHA! By the way, we’re going to treat that wound of yours, and there's no arguing!" "So, you really did cook? I take back my compliments about it tasting good," he teased again. "Don’t you dare take back what you just said," I snapped, pouring alcohol on his wound. "AHHHHHHH! That stings! Owwww!" he cried out and jolted up to blow on his cut. "Does that hurt?" I asked sarcastically. "You’re such a mean person!" he pouted, sounding like a child. "Nyenyenye! It's your fault," I teased him back. I stepped out of the room to grab a basin filled with water, then returned to take a cloth from my walk-in closet to wipe his face. "I'm not a baby; you don’t need to wipe me down," he protested as I began to dab his face. "Seriously, you're so loud!" I said while laughing. "Ouch! Careful of my handsome face! Be gentle!" he retorted, annoyed, as I pressed the cloth against his cheek. Once I finished wiping his face, I grabbed a clean shirt for him to change into. "I can’t do it; I feel so weak. Just help me change, please," he pleaded, and I felt a wave of sympathy wash over me, so I took off his T-shirt. Wait—is that abs I see? This is unbelievable! Why do I hate the view? Why is it making me feel this way? "Your mouth is drooling," he pointed out with a smirk. "You! Ugh! Just go to sleep!" I snapped, leaving him as I sat on the sofa. He pouted and adjusted himself comfortably, lying down. I pulled out my phone, but there weren't any new messages or updates on my social media. Everyone else was silent; it was like I was in a void. *9+ new messages received* I was shocked to see that it was from my Chingkyut account; I had accidentally logged into Facebook Lite while leaving my real account open in Messenger. "Hi dear." "How are you, dear?" "Send me your pic." I didn’t open it since I could see the messages. Who cares? They’re all just random people! Are there no decent individuals online? *COUPLE GC* SAPPHIRE: Welcome to the newbie, find your partner here and set your relationship status. Me: I wish I had a partner HAHAHAHA. By the way, thanks for adding me here. *SAPPHIRE ADDED MR. GREEN HARTUE* My brow furrowed as I noticed who SAPPHIRE had just added. MR. GREEN HARTUE: Hi? Me: Hello! MR. GREEN HARTUE: OH! So you’re Chingkyut? SAPPHIRE: Look! You’ve already got a partner, Chingkyut. Hurry up; don’t be slow. MR. GREEN HARTUE: Since I’m the guy, I’ll be the one to set our relationship status, Chingkyut. Me: HAHAHAHA, sure. A notification popped up: wow, they’re really serious about this. ACCEPT OR DECLINE? ACCEPT You are now in a relationship with MR. GREEN HARTUE.
