I didn't turned back to them and went to kitchen. I can feel their eyes lingered on me. All I want to do is to get away from them. I heaved a sigh to calm down myself. I went to the refrigerator and got myself a drink. I finished two glasses but it's feels nit enough to make my body hydrated. My lips is still dry as my hand are still shaking. I shook my head with the sight of them who are still in the living room. I can see them from my direction. They are welcoming the woman and seems that they knew her since before. Even my brother greeted her before he abid. His eyes darted on me. I was about to leave the kitchen when my brother spoke up. He's already in front of me. He looked confused for a moment but then he sighed, still eyeing me. “What happened, Rielle?” He asked. “You just left.” “I don't want to intervale them. She's Elijah's visitor.” I simply said. “They don't need me.” “You want to go out?” He asked. I just nodded before I gave Denver and Daniel a glance. My brother brought me to the garden. There's a bench near a mango tree so we sat there. This will help my mind get distracted. This feeling is really not good for me. I can't stand a chance seeing Elijah with someone else. And he even introduced it as his girlfriend. “About last night, William...” I uttered. “I'm sorry.” “I really don't get it why you argued with Rash last night.” I looked at him. “But I understand your sentiments. You just exceeded. When Zaine told me about what happened, I also understand him.” “It was so immature of me to said that to him,” I said. “Rash's been longing for his sister, Rielle.” He sighed. “He's still looking for her. It was his reason why he's still in the gang. He wanted to leave but he just can't.” I kept silent. Hearing this made me wanted to apologize to Rash more. I didn't know that. “And when that info got to The Hawk, they used that against him. They are also looking for her.” “I see.” I sighed. He glanced at me and he then pinched my nose. “So don't be too hard on him. He may look chill and carefree, but he's not.” I nodded at what he said. “Rielle.” “Hmm?” “Aren't you curious why I am in a gang right now?” he asked. I just stared at him because that's one of my questions that I need answers. “I am, but I'm waiting for you to tell me.” I said. “I know I am immature at times, but you can trust me, William.” “I trust you, okay?” He kept his voice normal but it changed when I stared at him. I badly want to know. “It just, I can't help but to think of your mental health if you know about this.” “What is it?” I asked. “We have other siblings, Rielle.” My lips parted. I looked at him confusedly and roaming at his face to see if he's joking or not. But he kept his usual reaction. “What do you mean?” I asked. “Our mother once told me that we have half siblings.” He sighed first before he looked at the sky. “She didn't tell me what their names are.” “How?” “When I was young, I saw a picture of her with a man. They're carrying two babies on their arms.” His voice broke but he still continue. That made me feel different emotions. “It was not our father but her first husband.” My eyes suddenly watered hearing that. I don't know. I should be happy, I guess? I don't exactly know the reason why I am tearing up while hearing this. “W-what did our mom tell you?” I asked, stuttering. “What happened after that? Why didn't she introduced them to us?” He looked directly at me before he eventually sighed. This is also hard for him. “She didn't told me, that's why I researched for myself. It took me years but still, I don't have enough resources.” “I researched for files about her previous marriage, her husband and our siblings... I joined The Falcon to have more access. And for the last five years of research...I found out about it last night.” “What d-did you found out?” William hold my hand to calm me down. “Our mother is a rape victim.” It was a bomb directly thrown to me. I just heard my brother calling my name as my heart is shattering into pieces because of what I heard. I just felt him embraced me tightly while I am sobbing nonstop on his chest. “Who d-did it?” I asked between my sob. He shook his head. “William, t-tell me... Please.” “Y-you can't take it.” He abruptly held my shoulder when I looked at him. “Is it our f-father?” I asked and with a single nod, my world suddenly collapsed. I don't know what I can do to ease this pain I feel. I am hurting knowing that my mother went to that phase. I can't keep this inside me. Eventhough I'm in my brother's embrace, I can't help but to released this. I just realized that I am punching my brother's until my arms weakened. “R-rielle!” I felt my brother hand on my face as he caressed it. My eyes are full of tears that I can't clearly see him. “L-look at me.” I blink multiple times until I could see him. His eyes are already bloodshot. I bit my lips to suppress it from making any sound. “He wouldn't do that!” I shouted. “But he did!” “H-he won't.” My voice's already lost. I am indenial but I can't help but to get hurt remembering those days when I was with my father. He was affectionate towards us but I always see him arguing with my mother. There were times that he hurt her physically. That even my grandmother was hurt because of him. My father died in a war in Mindanao when I was just six years old. That was our mother told us. That was seventeen years ago. That also the time my grandma died because we got into an accident. But he showed me that he's a good guy. So, I just can't help but to be dissapointed and mad because of what he did to my mother. I looked at my brother who's calming me. He patted my back like what he always do when I am crying before. He's a year older than me but he always took care of me whenever my mother is not with us. “H-how did you know about this?” “Rash's father is the chief of police. He give the files to me. He knew our parents.” “W-why didn't they imprisoned him?” I asked. “He should get what he deserves.” “The police didn't do that. Someone killed our father.” “Killed?” I stilled. “You mean he didn't died in a war?” “Yes. It was our mother's plan and she lied to us about this. She doesn't want us to know what happened to her.” He sighed. “She didn't deserved what happened to her!” He whispered. I looked at him as his hands are balled into fist. “William...” I uttered. I tried to calm him down and hold his hand. He heaved multiple sighs before he calm down. “I want to talk to the chief of police.” I said. His brows furrowed. “Why would you do that? You know it's quite dangerous.” “I want to ask something to him. Please.” I pleaded. “Okay.” He sighed again. “I'll come with you... and Rash too.” “Huh? Why?” I furrowed. I couldn't think of any reason why Rash need to go with us. “It's his father, Mr. Ferrer.” Suddenly, I saw Rash walked towards us. He's just two meters away from us. He looked at us curiously with the mentioned of his last name. “Why?” Rash asked but his brown eyes immediately darted on me. His eyebrows furrowed when he stared longer. “Did you cry?” His voice was serious this time. He went to my direction and hold my chin. I almost gasped at his gesture. He was scanning my whole face until his stares darkened. He then looked at my brother and suddenly punched him which made me shriek. “How dare you make her cry, you b*stard?!”
